Plein air painting down in Hampshire

A long promised day in the fresh (!) air with my Dad. After revisiting some old photo locations around the fun fair in Portsmouth we discovered some tidal docks to a marina. Old Buildings, boats, water and some amazing skies, excellent.

Eventually our numb fingers got the better of us but we definitely had the best of the day.

In Praise of Cuneo

 

At a prize giving at the Guildhall last night. (thats another story) I was impressed by a couple of Royal banquet paintings by Terence Cuneo. A talent that was both inspiring and made you want to give up. This is a 3 inch detail is of a 9x12 foot painting of a banquet for the commonwealths prime ministers.
